The thread of yoga has coursed through Katie's life for over 25 years. She first experienced yoga a college student in Northern Arizona and then brought basic breath practice and simple stretches to supplement the curriculum on month-long backpacking courses while working as a NOLS instructor in the wilds of Wyoming, Idaho, Arizona and Montana.
After moving to San Francisco in her late 20s, Katie discovered two dynamic teachers, Rusty Wells and Janet Stone, who cemented her love for the practice with their contagious devotion to the path of yoga and the celebration of community.
The practice of yoga has seen Katie through many of life's epic and personal milestones: pregnancy, motherhood and sobriety, and in 2015 she decided to expand her dedication to the practice and received her 200-hour RYT certificate from Yoga Alliance.
Fusing the power of asana with an eclectic musical soundscape, Katie's classes are a group exploration into the universal consciousness celebrating compassion, humility, grace and hard work.
