In 2004 I took my first yoga class, followed by my first teacher training in 2009. For several years I practiced and taught Hatha, Vinyasa, and Hot Yoga, but felt a calling to center my practice and dive deeply into one method. In 2012, I stepped into my first Ashtanga class. Realizing the massive capacity for transformation through the Ashtanga yoga method, I took an additional teacher training which was Ashtanga-focused, and also began practicing with my first Teacher, Tim Miller. The following year I took his Primary Series training in 2013, and in 2014 after moving to Napa, continued practice with Johnny Smith in Sebastopol. Now I have the good fortune to practice in Napa with Kory Sheffer at Ekam. I believe in the potency of the Ashtanga yoga method due to its efficacy as wisdom-based, experiential practice of life, and am passionate about sharing this gift.
